Jonathan R. Bromberg

Jonathan R. Bromberg is a founding partner of Bromberg Rosenthal LLC established in 1985. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the Stony Brook University and his Juris Doctor from the Washington College of Law at American University. He has been practicing in Maryland and Washington D.C. for more than 35 years. During this time he has earned the distinction of Super Lawyer and has held the prestigious AV preeminent peer review rating from Martindale Hubbell since 1994, the highest rating given to attorneys assessing their legal, professional ability and high ethical standards. Before entering private practice, Mr. Bromberg was a staff attorney with the Bureau of Consumer Protection of the Federal Trade Commission.

Mr. Bromberg has served as a Panel Chair hearing cases brought before the Maryland Health Claims Arbitration Administration and he has served as a Panel Chair hearing cases for the Montgomery County Commission on Common Ownership Communities. He served on the Maryland State Bar Association Law Practice Management Section Council and on the MSBA’s Technology Task Force. He is a Member and former Chair of the MSBA’s Solo and Small Firm Practice Section Council. He has lectured and moderated numerous programs for the MSBA related to real estate, technology and law practice. He also has regularly taught seminars for first time home buyers under the auspices of Housing and Community Initiatives (HCI) and served as a member of the Board of Directors of HCI. He has been a member of Greater Capital Area Association of Realtors (GCAAR) for over 30 years and has served on GCAAR’s Contract and Clauses Committee for several years.

Mr. Bromberg is a highly respected transactional attorney dealing with business matters, estate planning and probate and real estate transactions. Aside from his training as an attorney Mr. Bromberg has nearly 40 years of real estate settlement experience. He has supervised all aspects of his firm’s practice related to real estate settlements and has been conducting real estate settlements for properties throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area since starting in practice. He is experienced in preparing for and conducting settlements for real estate transfers, first and second trusts (including equity line of credit lending programs) and refinance transactions.

Experienced in all aspects of the title insurance industry, Mr. Bromberg has been a licensed title insurance agent for more than 30 years. He currently is an agent for Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company and prepares title examinations, title insurance binders and final title insurance policies. He has been Borrower’s counsel on significant commercial loan transactions in the tens of millions of dollars.

Serving as a respected estate planning and probate attorney, Mr. Bromberg has assisted and advised over 1,000 clients in preparing their estate planning documents and handling the probate of the estates of their loved ones.

Finally, Mr. Bromberg acts as corporate counsel for numerous locally owned businesses including medical and dental practices related to all aspects of their businesses. At all times, he endeavors to accomplish the goals of his clients in a timely and cost effective manner with good cheer.

Prior to graduating law school, Mr. Bromberg obtained a Master’s degree in Urban and Policy Sciences and he worked for various health related associations including the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) and the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO). In those positions, he directed research and analysis related to the areas of concern to the associations.

Mr. Bromberg resides in Montgomery County with his wife, Lenore, and has two adult children.
